A Little Bit About Me

I am a curious and dedicated teacher of voice and music.  I've taught in prestigious music schools, summer programs, and colleges in California, Boston, and New York City, including NYU Steinhardt's voice department and Berklee's Summer Musical Theater Intensive.  I find immense joy in sharing my love of music with students of all ages and helping them discover what their unique voices can do.  I use developmentally focused teaching methods to work with singers of all ages, skill levels, and interests.

My general strategy is to establish a relationship with the student, giving value to their opinion whether they are a beginner or an experienced performer.  In voice lessons, I design exercises that encourage released breath and healthy sound production.  By employing a myriad of tools and modifications, I enable students to have new experiences that build good habits and replace habits that are no longer serving them.  I am more invested in helping students discover what their voice can do rather than deciding what it should do.
